Raise confident, kind, and emotionally intelligent boys with Rachel Sklar's
Boy Mom Method™ - proven results and powerful relationships.
A parenting coach is a trained professional who helps parents develop effective strategies for raising children, managing challenges, and building stronger family relationships.
Your home becomes a joyful, calm place where family members respect each other and conflicts are resolved peacefully.
Your house rules are understood and followed, creating structure that helps everyone thrive.
Your son can handle his big feelings without fighting, lying, being aggressive, or running away.
You know how to handle tough behaviors and feel secure in your approach even when he refuses to listen or can’t take no for an answer. If he needs an evaluation or there’s an IEP meeting coming up, you have a place to process your thoughts, get support, and think through options with an expert.
Your close relationship with your son is built on a foundation of trust and mutual respect that will last a lifetime.
Best if you like learning alongside others and applying tools with support

I believe parents need a combination of education, coaching, and community to get the most value for their dollar. By starting with the Boy Mom Academy, you get immediate access to all three, including time with me (Rachel) during our weekly small-group sessions and via WhatsApp. You can always add private coaching at the discounted rate of $250/session if you want individual coaching.
This Boy Mom Academy is designed to give you the education and support you need to raise a boy with or without a diagnosis. If you’re considering an assessment, I will help you decide whether it’s the right choice and help you gather the information you need to make a successful, cost-effective decision. If he already has a diagnosis (e.g., ADHD, OCD, ASD, PDA, etc), you’ll also get tremendous support. We have an ND/ADHD support group inside the Academy. This is my specialty.
Amazing! Yes! Bring them on this journey with you. They can participate in all of it.
If you have a husband or male coparent who would like to participate, you can share your login credentials and invite him to our monthly Dad Lab, a Zoom support group for dads in the Academy.
Absolutely. We provide specialized strategies for parents to better support children with ADHD, anxiety, autism, PDA, sensory processing challenges, and many educational or behavioral diagnoses. You’ll get help with listening skills, focus, routines, and emotional management. We also have an ADHD/ND support group in the Academy.
A very common question! I always say to “start with the parenting.” If you see no change in your child’s behavior after adjusting your approach, you’ll know that a child-based intervention is appropriate. Don’t jump to child-based intervention until you’ve hired a professional to help you make changes at home. You’ll save money and protect your son from the medicalization of boyhood by gathering important information about what works and what doesn’t. The Boy Mom Academy is a great place to start.
Weekly Live Q&A sessions are every Tuesday, 12pm – 1pm PST. We also have a session on Fridays at 9am PST for Teen Boy Moms and a monthly case consultation session for therapists in the Academy. If you’re unable to attend live, you can access a recording of the session in your portal.
If you would like to opt out of all live events and just access The Boy Mom Academy portal, contact me directly for pricing.
I would love to observe your kids in your home for an added fee, but I don’t work with them. I teach you how to work with and influence them.
No. You will have lifetime access to the Boy Mom Academy trainings and materials once you’ve met your minimum time commitment. As long as The Boy Mom Academy is still running, you will be able to access all of the resources it has to offer. This alone is worth the price of the program.
Yes, if you’d like to experience coaching first hand and decide whether the Boy Mom Academy is a great fit for you, you can schedule a one-time trial session with me (Rachel) for $97 here.
We can use the time to address a specific parenting challenge and discuss whether it makes sense for you to join The Boy Mom Academy or enroll in a private coaching program. I will reimburse the cost of the trial session if you decide to move forward. You really can’t lose.
